Are we talking merely romance here or just anything social? I dunno. I find I'm pickier about the peple I want to connect with as I get older, and I'm older than most Zoners. I want to find people who are fairly like-minded and share a few of my interests at least. It is getting harder for me to put up with really extreme idealism and I tend to go for more realistic people. I love a sarcastic and irreverent attitude toward life where little to nothing is sacred. I also find I have no use for people whose lives are nothing but drama and tragedy, most of it their own making. I know some folks can't help this and I can accomodate, but in my past it seems I attracted the emotionallly needy because I tend to be kind to people unles or until they show me reason not to be so nice. LOL!

Wow Stargate, thanks *smiles*. I am looking for someone who can listen to someone, who understands but has still a good sense of humour and is patient with me.

That they be intelligent, and have a sense of humor. Also, that they be kind to others is pretty high in there too.

I agree, kindness is very necesary.

Post 11 by AllieCat (Account disabled) on Tuesday, 07-Jun-2005 18:35:39

Well, let's see ... I love sarcasm and dark humor, so naturally, anyone who likes those things too won't have a problem getting along with me. Um, I also look for intelligence and kindness, honesty and integrity, open-mindedness and self-respect. I figure if you've got respect for yourself,it's easy enough to have respect for others, or at least treat others the way you want to be treated, right?

stargate that cheap jibe shows the extremely high level of your childishness......

Personally I rate confidence very highly, if a person is sure of themselves, they will be strong and able to cope with whatever life throws at them. A good sense of humour..patience...a sense of adventure an appreciation of nature and the outdoors..tolerance of my capricous temperament..and eh a willingness to try something out of the ordinary

Post 17 by Inesle1987 (Account disabled) on Wednesday, 08-Jun-2005 10:56:56

A person who is sure of themselves doesn't take so personally criticism from people who they've never met.
